This iconic building in Glasgows Merchant City was carefully restored by ISG working with Edinburgh based architects Morgan McDonell. The historic building had been allowed to fall into a state of disrepair before planning was sought to transform it in to a top class office space.

We completed work in the reception area, including a huge ‘fabric wall’ featuring a number of cylinders wrapped in a selection of Bute fabrics standing at over 4m tall. the reception desk and cafe bar features back lit timber lath with distressed zinc tops. A seating area is set behind the desk featuring leather booth seating as well as bar stool seating. All this is set under an enormous ceiling raft; we constructed this using black painted structural timbers before attaching the lacquered Oak rafts.

We also completed the ceiling raft as well as the kitchen in the staff breakout area in the basement,
